We’re heading to the east side of the Phoenix valley to visit Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (KIWA). Formerly known as Williams Air Force Base, this field has a massive legacy of training WWII, Korea, and Vietnam-era pilots. We were hoping to find a time capsule of aviation history but what we found was a bit more... modern.
